He was a quarterfinalist for\u00a0<em>Ruminate Magazine<\/em>&#8216;s 2018 VanderMey Nonfiction Prize, was shortlisted for Disquiet International\u2019s 2020 Literary Prize, and was an honorable mention and finalist for the New Millennium Writing Awards. He has been awarded residencies by Alternative Worksite, Byrdcliffe, the Hambidge Center, the Institute for LGBTQ+ Studies, Main Street Arts, NAVE, SloMoCo, the Sundress Academy, the Vermont Studio Center, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Wassaic Project, and Western Montana Creative Initiatives. His first solo exhibition,\u00a0<em>How the West was lost<\/em>, opens at Stone House Art Gallery in October 2021. Group exhibitions include:\u00a0<em>The Long Dream<\/em>\u00a0at the MCA Chicago;\u00a0<em>a series of small gestures<\/em>\u00a0at the Smart Museum;\u00a0<em>With All Our Might<\/em>\u00a0at Carr Center Contemporary;\u00a0<em>Experimental Film and Video<\/em>\u00a0at the CICA Museum;\u00a0<em>And That Is Where The Bobcat Is Right Now<\/em>\u00a0curated by Tiger Strikes Asteroid;\u00a0<em>Angelespuma<\/em>\u00a0at NAVE;\u00a0<em>Seasons Change<\/em>\u00a0at the Wassaic Project;\u00a0<em>Utopian Living<\/em>\u00a0at the Kleinert\/James Center;\u00a0<em>Two Silences Leaning Together<\/em>\u00a0at In\/Passing; and\u00a0<em>No Borders On Stolen Land<\/em>. He has participated in the film festival\u00a0<em>Release Me <\/em>through Single Channel VT and one of his prints appeared in\u00a0<em>Under the Bridge<\/em>.
