Her current project contributes to the growing field of the anthropology of Christianity and looks at Pentecostal youth and performance-based conversion events in the U.S.A. Saliha is currently serving in her third elected term on the board of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sar.americananthro.org\/\">Society for the Anthropology of Religion<\/a>, a section of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/aaanet.org\">American Anthropological Association<\/a>. She is the co-author of a chapter\u00a0entitled &#8220;Megachurches and Popular Culture: On Enclaving and Encroaching&#8221; in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brill.com\/view\/title\/54948?lang=en\">Brill Handbook of Megachurches<\/a>\u00a0(2019), and the co-editor of a special issue of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.equinoxpub.com\/index.php\/PENT\/article\/view\/31418\">Pentecostudies<\/a>\u00a0entitled &#8216;Gender and Agency in Spirit-filled Christianity&#8221; (2016).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Saliha Chattoo is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in the Department for the Study of Religion.
