He was a Visiting Research Scholar and Lecturer at Princeton University\u2019s Program in Latin American Studies (PLAS) in 2018 and Visiting Scholar at New York University &#8211; Shanghai in 2017. He has carried out extensive field- and archival research in Venezuela. His publications have focused on media, mass politics, populism, and spirit mediumship. His book <em>Dancing Jacobins: A Venezuelan Genealogy of Latin American Populism<\/em> appeared in Spring 2016 with Fordham University Press.
