{"id":993,"date":"2019-11-15T10:19:25","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T15:19:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entangledworlds.utoronto.ca\/?page_id=993"},"modified":"2019-11-15T10:19:25","modified_gmt":"2019-11-15T15:19:25","slug":"call-for-proposals-second-round","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/entangledworlds.utoronto.ca\/index.php\/call-for-proposals-second-round\/","title":{"rendered":"Call For Proposals: Second Round"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Connaught Global Initiative: \u201cEntangled Worlds\u201d Graduate Project Competition:<\/h3>\n<h3>Call for Proposals [Second Round]<\/h3>\n<p>The Connaught Initiative: <em>Entangled Worlds<\/em>, led by Professors <a href=\"https:\/\/entangledworlds.utoronto.ca\/index.php\/valentina-napolitano\/\">Valentina Napolitano<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/entangledworlds.utoronto.ca\/index.php\/simon-coleman\/\">Simon Coleman<\/a>, seeks to foster interdisciplinary discussion in addressing issues relating to new populisms, sanctity and soil, the changing nature of theopolitical charisma, and the sacralization of new and old forms of sovereignty.<br \/>\nThe <em>Entangled Worlds <\/em>project is currently looking to sponsor a small number of graduate projects that link to one or more of the themes of this project. While possibly relating to larger research programmes, these projects will have specific outcomes, which will result in output (written, recorded) that can then be disseminated on the <em>Entangled Worlds<\/em> project website. We encourage teams of students to apply, as well as individuals. These projects will normally cost up to a maximum of <strong>$1200<\/strong>. Funding will be issued in the form of expense reimbursement and all expenses should be incurred before <strong>June 30th, 2020<\/strong>. Selected students and student-projects will be expected to submit their submissions by <strong>August 30th, 2020<\/strong>.<br \/>\nInterested students (or project teams of students) should provide a 1-page detailed explanation of their prospective project and what the output will be for the Entangled Worlds project. Students should be enrolled in the University of Toronto, as graduate students in any department, at any part in their degree program. Successful candidates from the first round may also apply this year. Applicants should provide a 1-page detailed budget with anticipated time-scale.
