Connaught Global Initiative: “Entangled Worlds” Graduate Project Competition: Call for Proposals [First Round]
The Connaught Initiative: Entangled Worlds, led by Professors Valentina Napolitano and Simon Coleman, seeks to foster interdisciplinary discussion in addressing issues relating to new populisms, sanctity and soil, the changing nature of theopolitical charisma, and the sacralization of new and old forms of sovereignty.
The Entangled Worlds project is currently looking to sponsor a small number of graduate projects that link to one or more of the themes of this project. While possibly relating to larger research programmes, these projects will have specific outcomes, which result in output (written, recorded) that can then be disseminated on the Entangled Worlds project website. These projects will cost up to a maximum of $1000.
Interested students (or project teams of students) should provide a 1-page detailed explanation of their prospective project and what the output will be for the Entangled Worlds project. They should also provide a 1-page detailed budget with anticipated time-scale. Applicants should email all applications (project explanation and budget: 2-pages maximum) and their CVs to entangledworlds.anthropology@utoronto.ca by February 25th, 2019.
